ReNewable Now each year will award $0,000 in college scholarship money to graduating North American high school students, and those who are currently enrolled in recognized institutions of higher learning within North America who have helped to advance sustainability, and environmental awareness in their schools and/or communities through original ideas, and thought.
Applicants can choose their particular area of interest as it relates to sustainability, or the environment when completing their submission. We are looking for creative ways of how you are helping to make a difference, so we are accepting three options from students when delivering an entry they are:
Written Essay: Tells as in your words how you have helped to make a difference, what inspires you, and what your vision is for helping to make a positive change.
Video: Have a short film, documentary, or promo that you produced that speaks to sustainability and the environment?
Conceptual Model: Have you created a new invention that is going to make our lives more sustainable, while also helping the environment? Provide documentation, description, photos, and video of the model in use.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Applicants will be judged on their creativity, compassion, courage, problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to promoting a sustainable, and environmentally conscience world through their ideas, lifestyle, and achievements. The ability to demonstrate, and measure the actual effectiveness or feasibility of your submission will be an important factor.
Award payment will be made to the student’s college (U.S. based only). Winners of the scholarships give permission to release their names, have a photo receiving the award, and allowing ReNewable Now release it to the media. Applications and entries become the property of The ReNewable Now Network. We may ask finalists for more information.
Winners of scholarship are announced every year on April 22nd, which coincides with “Earth Day.” Winners will be contacted by e-mail or telephone.
All entries are required to review submission rules and fill out the submission form
