Profiles in Health and Wellness

Please enjoy this RNN’s Profiles in Health and Wellness featured guest Ryan Bate who is the owner of South County Adventure Boot Camp for Women. Ryan was interested in improving his own personal health and well being from an early age and wanted to share that with others. During some “soul searching” he knew he wanted to make his passion, healthy living, a career in helping others do the same. Part of his plan was the creation of South County Adventure Boot Camp for Women which he began with his wife Danielle in 2010. Ryan shares that besides the obvious benefits of the boot camp such as weight loss, decrease in body fat, increase in muscle, more energy, more cardio vascular endurance, “The two biggest things for me is to see an individual improve their confidence and their positivity.

Ryan believes those two things will improve someone’s life in more ways than just the physical aspect. Ryan also enjoys witnessing the camaraderie amongst the women who support each other in making healthy lifestyle changes. “They also make life long friends.” When designing and implementing workouts for his boot camps he likes to “think outside the gym.” No one workout is the same. This diversity and creativity keeps the boot camp participants interested “mentally and physically.” His well rounded routines focus on different muscle groups in varied ways from agility and speed exercises to core work. Team games and partner activities are also included. To you women out there in South County Rhode Island if you’re looking for something different to get yourself in shape and feeling good about yourself contact Ryan Bate.
